      I really needed to add some cardio equipment to my home gym and since I enjoy biking during good weather, I thought the S22i would be great to train on during the cold weather months.

      I did my research and like most came down to the Peloton and NordicTrack as choices. I really thought I would buy the Peloton as they flood the television with so many ads, I didn't even realize there WERE other bikes.

      Once I found the NordicTrack S22i and compared the price along with the features, I was sold by, auto-resistance, auto-incline/auto-decline and the non-studio trainer led rides, all things Peloton doesn't offer. I was further sold by the fact the bikes specifications were a max 350lb rider, which told me the bike was built well and the fact it took a standard saddle and standard pedals. It allowed to me have the same seat and pedals I use on my outside bikes.

      I ordered the S22i back on 11/6/2019 and had it in a few days. I'm a DIY type of person so the install was easy and I liked the fact I would know all bolts were tight and everything was assembled correctly. The only mistake I made was not paying the extra $19.95 to Amazon to place it in any room, so ended up hauling that heavy #*#*#* up a flight of stairs, yes it's build well with lots of steel :D

      I've been training on the S22i since November and as of yesterday 2/18/2020 I got back on my mountain bike and road 18 miles on a trail, fitness has been greatly improved and very happy with the results.

      The trainer led workouts have inspired me so much that I'm actually taking a trip out to Moab, Utah to ride the mountain bike trails in March. Nothing like training virtually on the trails you will be riding in person!

      I've seen some negative comments about the bike, many are due to folks that don't understand their WiFi has to be stream ready and you need to put a high quality surge protector on the S22i just like you would any high priced electronic device. I also see reviews by novice riders about saddle adjustments, pedal replacement, etc. All that comes with experience, no need to be negative because your knees hurt because your seat is too low.

      I also see iFit making a significant investment in their software, recently adding a leaderboard like Peloton and working on a more granular search function for their workout library. They have even been conducting polls about adding live studio classes, not really my cup of tea but would try them if offered.

      I certainly have had a positive experience with iFit and the S22i, it's my first connected fitness device and now I'm thinking about a Nordictrack/iFit treadmill to do more walking, running and hiking like climbing Mt. Fuji!

      In my opinion, better quality than Peloton. Versatile tech with large swivel screen and tons of levels and training sessions. The programs are quite immersive and I pay more attention to the guide talking in front of me - like a bicycle tour through a city or country, or beachside community that I’ve not visited before. So far I’ve toured all over Bermuda! Lol

      I definitely recommend this product!

      Bottom line it’s an excellent bike from a company that has been in business for 40+ years! I trust the NordicTrak brand… They’ve improved the quality their equipment and have come a long way since the cross country ski machine. 😆

      It is a great bike overall. The elevation changes with bike moving up/down is a nice feature. The assembly was a little off at times. Routing wires can be cumbersome.
      The major issue with the bike is the handlebars. What a poorly thought out setup. There is one large bolt holding the monitor and bars in place after sliding into the main tube. It makes more a lot of movement with bars and monitor/screen. It is not a deal breaker but I would hope they would stabilize and beef in up in the future.
      If you are tall with back issues, the handlebars are too low without the ability to adjust high enough for a comfortable ride. I took matters into my own hands and added some handlebars. It made a huge difference. You can still grab bars down low but now I have more options. You can also increase the incline feature and reduce intensity if you need to get to the bars without uncomfortable flexion. It is only an issue b/c of multiple back surgeries. It is a standard riding position for most. It is unfortunate you can't raise the bars higher. I'm 6'2" as a reference.
      It is a very smooth bike made by Proform. I had the original Lance Armstrong version from 15 yrs ago that also has elevation changes relative to the ride that you are on. Pretty cool feature.
      I've only done the Mountain bike rides which are a lot of fun. You follow a real person that gives feedback during the ride. There are tons of options for any ride you can imagine. It is not live, but it might as well be. You can turn the sound lower/off. Music is an option. I just like to ride. The monitor is high quality.
      I changed out the seat to a more comfortable option. That was easy enough. Same for pedals. Clippless pedals are a much better option IMO.
      No reliability issues thus far. The only thing I can't understand is why they would not have an on/off switch? I have mine plugged into a surge protector and turn it on/off from there. Not a huge deal but very odd.
      I would buy it again. Peloton has nothing on Nordic Track. I've tried both.

      Here are a few of my thoughts...

      If you want a machine that gives you MORE... get this. It has everything.

      The biggest difference here is that this machine has incline. As an avid spinner as well as someone who is training to be an instructor, the added resistance and burn of incline is a game changer and that puts NordicTrack ahead of the competition.

      The platform (Android Tablet with custom interface) is a bit clunky but they work on it ALL THE TIME! I have had a few small issues. I report them inside the GUI and they get to them in a decent amount of time. iFit is very quick to respond and they walk you through troubleshooting.

      The machine is built with future growth in mind. They are updating the interface almost once a month at times. It's like Christmas morning when they load new series into the iFit system. It easily allows you to schedule them and since it's all web hosted, it shows up on your phone. I do wish there was a way to send my heart rate from my Apple Watch to the bike, BUT getting two companies to talk is not really a thing. Maybe someday.

      Also people complain about the unit not having Bluetooth. It DOES, it's an Android tablet with Chromecast and Bluetooth built in. They are hopefully updating the front facing GUI soon, but a few clicks and you are in to the Administrator mode where you can unlock lots of settings.

      I use bluetooth every single day without an adapter.

      Plain and simple this bike will change your routine. I still spin in the studio 2 days a week and spend the other 5 on this bike. It's amazing and it has changed my body since arriving in August. There are great groups you can join of fellow riders and that is also helpful for tricks and tips.

      Two pieces of advice:
      1. Once you are comfortable with your seat height and spinning form, get a seat cover that matches your body for comfort and precision.
      2. Switch out those pedals but KEEP THE TOE CAGES. I put SPD clip pedals from Shimanno on the day it arrived and added the toe cages for any guests. Being clipped in makes for a better workout, don't let anyone tell you and different!

      This bike has it all, and you will NOT be let down by iFit or NordicTrack. Do it for you and no one else!
