      M y husband insisted we buy a Kenwood as that is what his mom used in the Caribbean. We got the first one in the U.S. and were sorry we didn’t get the larger model. Then we. oved to the Caribbean and found this model in a local store and bought it, fortunately at a much better price. I’m sure like everything it has gone up in price since we purchased it. I have so many attachments from my first Kenwood and have added to them. We’ve made sausage, pasta, breads, so much it’s just amazing. At one point kitchenaid did not have hardly ant attachments like this Kenwood has. I have not had an issue with attachments going from an American version to using the UK version, everything has fit and worked well. It is a work horse. We have the original glass bowl from my mother in law’s old machine. I really wish it fit on this.

      I did return two different models of KA(6qt. one from costco and the artisan 5qt. one from amazon) and finally found my best stand mixer. This is small but powerful and stable. The only disadvantage is that it's not good at small amount of eggwhite for meringue and it's all same for other brands.

      I bought first 9 years ago in europe. i make 220v in my home for it. then i found 110v version. now i have 2 of them.
      i had kitchen aid too and sold it. i dont like kitchen aid.
      it can make pro quality egg whites, dough. you can grind meat and make pasta. they also have induction version, so you can cook with it too. its perfect, design and quality.

      I'm buying my second one. Not because the first one has given me any reason to complain, quite the contrary it has been perfect every day. No the only reason for the second one is that I purchased my first one on Craigslist second hand. I got it for a ridiculous price and I now can't live without it. I'm currently making bread rolls for tonight's burgers. Safeway has chuck steak for $2.99 a pound right now and I'm going to be running it through the meat grinder tonight. You ever had a burger with fresh rolls and fresh ground beef? My food processor attachment will be shredding a coleslaw to go with the burgers and all of this is done quickly with one machine. I cook like this regularly and we eat really well and we save a fortune. I have a decent complement of attachments that I have procured from various places. The pasta rollers were the latest acquisition and yes they are expensive but remember, fresh pasta for life. My mum is still using hers from the 60's and now this machine is almost as valuable to me as my chef's knife. This is why I'm buying a backup. I never want to be without this machine/system. Kenwood Chef for life!
